Enter the weight applied to the scale or vessel (in pounds)

Is the applied load between 80% to 100% of the expected process weight?

Enter the initial weight reading on the display (in pounds)

Enter the weight reading after applying the load (in pounds)

Did the weight reading increase in the proper direction?

Describe any issues with the weight reading

Select Calibration from Configuration menu using down arrow and press Enter

Select Hard Cal menu item and press ENTER

Select Ref Weight value using UP or DOWN button and press ENTER

Wait for 12 seconds for reading to stabilize

Press ENTER to save Ref Weight value and return to calibration menu

Select Do Cal Lo using DOWN button and press ENTER

Power up the instrument to test all connections

Check for proper alignment of gasket onto the back panel

Align back panel and attach gasket to the back of the enclosure

Loosely insert screws 6 through 10

Ensure all live load weight is removed from the scale

Wait for the scale to stabilize

Turn off vibration and production equipment

Enter the reference weight in the Ref Weight text field

Did the 'Cal Completed OK' message appear?

Ensure all pre-calibration procedures are completed

Configure the HI 6300 series instrument (units, decimal point, NumAverages, etc.)

Is the scale system clean and ready to receive product?

Enter the Gravity Correction Factor based on your location

C2 and eCAL Calibration from the Web Page

Enter the number of load cells displayed on the webpage

Enter the reference weight for your application
