Power up the instrument to test connections

Check alignment of gasket with back panel screw holes

Align back panel and gasket to the enclosure

Loosely insert screws into locations 1 through 5

Tighten screws 1 through 5 in numerical order

Ensure all live load weight is removed from the scale

Turn off vibration and production equipment

Enter the reference weight in the Ref Weight text field

Click the Do Cal Lo button to perform hard Cal Zero operation

Did the 'Cal Completed OK' message appear?

Select Calibration from the Configuration menu using UP or DOWN button and press ENTER

Select C2 (eCal) from the Calibration menu and press ENTER

Enter the number of C2 (or eCal) load cells detected by the HI 6300 series instrument

Does the displayed number match the actual number of installed load cells?

Check the following if the numbers do not match

Press Enter to save the Reference Weight and return to the C2 eCal menu

Select Calibration from Configuration menu using down arrow and press Enter

Select Hard Cal menu item and press ENTER

Select Ref Weight value using UP or DOWN button and press ENTER

Wait for 12 seconds for reading to stabilize

Press ENTER to save Ref Weight value and return to calibration menu

Select Do Cal Lo using DOWN button and press ENTER

Enter the weight applied to the scale or vessel (in pounds)

Is the applied load between 80% to 100% of the expected weight?

Record the initial weight reading on the display

Record the weight reading after applying the load

Did the weight reading increase in the proper direction?

Describe any issues with the weight reading, if applicable
