Place a load (weight) on the scale or vessel

Enter the weight placed on the scale or vessel

Check if the weight reading changes on the display in the proper direction

If the display reading is incorrect, refer to the troubleshooting chapter

Remove the weight if the display changes in the proper direction

Calibrate the Weight Controller

Power up the instrument to test all connections

Check for proper alignment of gasket onto the back panel

Align back panel and attach gasket to the back of the enclosure

Loosely insert screws into locations 1 through 5

Tighten screws 1 through 5 in numerical order

Select Calibration from Configuration menu using UP or DOWN button

Press ENTER to display Calibration menu

Select C2 (eCal) and press ENTER to display C2 Calibration Menu items

Enter the number of C2 (or eCal) load cells detected by the HI 6300 series instrument

Does the displayed number match the actual number installed?

Check connections if numbers do not match

Select Calibration from Configuration menu using down arrow and press Enter

Select Hard Cal from Calibration menu and press Enter

Select Ref Weight value using UP or DOWN button and press Enter

Wait for 12 seconds for reading to stabilize

Press Enter to save Ref Weight value and return to calibration menu

Select Do Cal Lo using DOWN button and press Enter

Ensure all live load weight is removed from the scale

Wait for scale stabilization (minimum 12 seconds)

Is all vibration and production equipment turned off?

Enter the reference weight in the Ref Weight text field

Did the 'Cal Completed OK' message appear?
