Pre-maintenance safety procedures

Shut off the compressed air line

Disconnect the air line from the pump

Remove diaphragm assemblies from diaphragm rod

Remove manifolds and outer chambers

Remove diaphragm assemblies from diaphragm rod

Avoid using a pipe wrench or similar tool to remove assembly from rod

Use soft jaws in a vise to prevent diaphragm rod damage

Shut off the compressed air line

Disconnect the air line from the pump

Remove plunger, actuator (29) from center of intermediate pilot valve cavity

Remove Ring, Retaining (30) and discard

Inspect bushing, plunger (7) for wear and replace if necessary with genuine parts

Inspect O-Ring (26) for wear and replace if necessary with genuine parts

Inspect all fasteners for loosening

Retighten any loose fasteners to recommended torques

Is the pump located as close to the product as possible?

Is the suction line length and number of fittings minimized?

Is the suction line diameter not reduced?

Is the pump air inlet connected to a sufficient air supply?

Install a pressure regulating valve to ensure air supply pressure does not exceed recommended limits

Inspect check valves and seats for wear and proper setting

Replace check valves or seats if necessary

Disassemble the wet end of the pump

Manually dislodge any obstruction in the check valve pocket

Clean out around the valve ball cage and valve seat area

Replace valve ball or valve seat if damaged

Pilot Valve Disassembly and Inspection

Inspect O-Rings (4-C) and replace if required

Remove spool (4-D) from sleeve (4-B)
