Shut off the compressed air line

Disconnect the air line from the pump

Is the pump used for materials that tend to settle out or solidify?

Pre-maintenance safety procedures

Shut off the compressed air line

Disconnect the air line from the pump

Remove plunger, actuator (29) from center of intermediate pilot valve cavity

Remove Ring, Retaining (30) and discard

Remove bushing, plunger (7) and inspect for wear

Replace bushing, plunger (7) if necessary with genuine parts

Remove O-Ring (26), inspect for wear and replace if necessary with genuine parts

Is the pump operating erratically or has it stopped?

Inspect the air exhaust muffler for blockage or icing

Clean or de-ice the muffler screen as required

Is there water in the compressed air supply?

Inspect all fasteners for loosening caused by gasket creep

Retighten any loose fasteners to prevent leakage, following the recommended torques stated in the manual

Pump Location and Suction Line Setup

Locate the pump as close to the product being pumped as possible

Keep the suction line length and number of fittings to a minimum

Ensure the suction line diameter is not reduced

Connect the pump air inlet to an air supply with sufficient capacity and pressure to achieve desired performance

Inspect all fasteners for loosening caused by gasket creep

Retighten loose fasteners to prevent leakage, following recommended torques

Inspect all suction-side gaskets and pipe connections for air leakage

Check all suction screens or strainers and clear any obstructions

Inspect the air exhaust muffler for blockage, icing, or presence of pumped fluid

Inspect the air exhaust piping routing for safe containment in the event of diaphragm rupture
