Shut off the compressed air line

Disconnect the air line from the pump

Remove Hex Head Cap Screws (1-F)

Remove spool part of sleeve and spool set (1-B)

Press sleeve (1-B) from body (1-A)

Is an air line lubricator installed?

Lubricator Setting Verification

Enter the current lubricator setting (drops per SCFM)

Enter the air consumption of the pump (SCFM)

Is the lubricator set to deliver one drop of SAE 10 non-detergent oil for every 20 SCFM?

Consult the Performance Curve to verify air consumption

Is the pump operating without sluggishness or stalling?

Inspect all fasteners for loosening caused by gasket creep

Retighten any loose fasteners to prevent leakage, following the recommended torques stated in the manual

Pump Location and Suction Line Setup

Locate the pump as close to the product being pumped as possible

Keep the suction line length and number of fittings to a minimum

Ensure the suction line diameter is not reduced

Connect the pump air inlet to an air supply with sufficient capacity and pressure

Pre-maintenance Safety Measures

Shut off the compressed air line

Disconnect the air line from the pump

Pilot Valve Disassembly and Inspection

Inspect O-Rings (4-C) and replace if required

Remove spool (4-D) from sleeve (4-B)

Is the pump operating erratically or has it stopped?

Inspect the air exhaust muffler for blockage or icing

Clean or de-ice the muffler screen as required

Is there water in the compressed air supply?
