Inspect all fasteners for loosening

Retighten any loose fasteners to recommended torques

Locate the pump as close to the product as possible

Keep suction line length and number of fittings to a minimum

Ensure suction line diameter is not reduced

Connect pump air inlet to an adequate air supply

Install a pressure regulating valve to control air supply pressure

Shut off the compressed air line

Disconnect the air line from the pump

Remove plunger, actuator (29) from center of intermediate pilot valve cavity

Remove Ring, Retaining (30) and discard

Inspect bushing, plunger (7) for wear and replace if necessary with genuine parts

Inspect O-Ring (26) for wear and replace if necessary with genuine parts

Inspect diaphragm plates for issues

Inspect intermediate bearings for issues

Inspect diaphragm rod for issues

Clean or repair diaphragms if appropriate

Pre-Maintenance Safety Measures

Shut off the compressed air line

Disconnect the air line from the pump

Wear approved eye protection and protective clothing

Flush the pump after each use for materials that tend to settle out or solidify

Flush the pump clean prior to disassembly when used for toxic or aggressive fluids

Shut off the compressed air line

Disconnect the air line from the pump

Remove manifolds and outer chambers

Remove diaphragm assemblies from diaphragm rod

Ensure no pipe wrench or similar tool is used to remove assembly from rod

Use soft jaws in a vise to prevent diaphragm rod damage
