You must read and understand the warnings and instructions contained in the Safety section of this manual, before performing any operation or maintenance procedures.
1) Engine Oil & Filter (Diesel Engine Only) - Change
The engine oil in a new engine becomes contaminated from the initial break-in of internal parts. It is very important that the initial oil and filter change is performed as scheduled.
NOTE: The oil drain plug may be in another location if an optional oil pan is used.
Checking Engine Oil (D24A Diesel Engine Only)
1. Check that the engine is at level position.
2. Start and warm up the engine to operating temperature.
3. Stop the engine and wait for 5~10 minutes.
10 Hourly / 1 Daily Forklift Inspection
Visually inspect forks for cracks, especially in the heel section, around the mounting brackets, and all weld areas.
Inspect for broken or jagged fork tips, bent or twisted blades and shanks.
Make sure positioning lock is in place and working.
Remove all defective forks from service.
Inspect Engine for Fluid Leaks
Engine Oil Level - Check
Drive Axle Oil Level - Check
Coolant Level – Check
Air Cleaner Indicator-Check
Forklift Maintenance
Warning: This maintenance check requires trained personnel with PPE!
Repair forks only in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations.
Forks may be sanded or lightly ground, to remove rust, corrosion or minor defects from the surfaces.
Heel sections may be ground with a carbon stone to remove minor surface cracks or defects.
Repair or replace the positioning locks on hook type forks.
Repair or replace most fork retention devices used with other fork types.
A fork should be load tested before being returned to service on completion of repairs authorized and done in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations.
Fuel Tank Filter Cap and Screen (If Equipped) - Clean
Seat, Hood Latch & Support Cylinder - Check, Lubricate
200 Hourly Regulator Tar Draining
Warning: This procedure should be performed every 200 hours
Is the engine warmed up using LPG?
Tank cock closed and LPG in fuel line consumed?
Drain plug removed and tar drained from LP regulator (vaporizer)?
Tray placed below to prevent engine room from getting dirty?
Sealant applied to drain plug and assembled after finishing work?
Sign off on the regulator tar draining
2000 Hourly / 1 Yearly Forklift Maintenance
