Disconnect and lockout the main power

Shut off the cooling water infeed and drain the unit

Drain all water using the drain plugs located at the bottom of the unit

Inspection of Cooling and Process Lines

Inspect all plumbing lines for leaks

Is there any leak detected in the cooling or process lines?

Was the Thermolator stopped due to a leak?

Describe the repair actions taken for the leak

Re-inspect the unit and plumbing lines after repair

Is the unit operating normally after repairs?

Inspect the fluid reservoir for debris or deposits

Is flushing and cleaning of the reservoir necessary?

Remove the top panel of the Thermolator

Locate the reservoir near the top of the unit

Locate the fill port at the top of the reservoir

Monitor the fluid level using the sight glass on the back of the unit

Press any button to display the first test menu

Select the Calibration Mode menu

Apply the appropriate temperature to the control input using the thermocouple calibrator

Press the up ▲ key to begin calibrating

Wait until the control displays “don” or “bad”

Press Select to start the next calibration

Open the electrical enclosure door

Turn the screw on the front panel counterclockwise to open

Disconnect the wires from the heater contactor

Label the wires for correct reconnection
