Engine Crankcase Breather - Replace
Open the engine access door at the rear of the machine. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, “Access Doors and Covers”.
The engine crankcase breather is located in the engine compartment on the right-hand side of engine. A replaceable filter element is located inside the engine crankcase breather.
Remove cover (4) and remove filter element (2).
Clean housing (1) and cover (4).
Inspect O-ring for damage. Replace if necessary.
Install a new filter element and Install cover (4).
Close the engine access door.
Sign off on the maintenance procedure

Swing Bearing - Lubricate
Note: Refer to Special Publication, SEBU6250, “Caterpillar Machine Fluids Recommendations” for more information on grease.
1. Wipe the fittings before lubricating the swing bearings.
Note: There are two fittings that need lubricant. One fitting is on the front of the swing bearing and one fitting is on the rear of the swing bearing.
2. Apply lubricant through both fittings until the lubricant comes out of the bearing (area (1) below the fitting).
3. Rotate the upper structure of the machine 90 degrees from the original position.
Note: The grease fitting rotates with the upper machine structure.
4. Apply lubricant through both fittings until the lubricant comes out of the bearing (area (1) below the fitting).
5. Repeat Step 3 and Step 4 until the upper structure has rotated 360 degrees.

Final Drive Oil - Change
Position one final drive so that oil drain plug is at the bottom
Remove oil drain plug, level plug, and filler plug
Clean the plugs and inspect the plugs
Apply pipe sealant to oil drain plug, level plug, and filler plug
Install drain plug
Add oil through the opening of filler plug
Fill the final drive to the bottom of the opening for level plug
Install level plug and filler plug
