NOTICE: Do not change the coolant until you read and understand the cooling system information in Special Publication, SEBU6250, “Caterpillar Machine Fluids Recommendations”. Mixing ELC with other products will reduce the effectiveness of the coolant. This could result in damage to cooling system components.
If Caterpillar products are not available and commercial products must be used, make sure they have passed the Caterpillar EC-1 specification for premixed or concentrate coolants and Caterpillar Extender.
Note: If cooling system samples Level 1 and Level 2 are not performed, and ELC not added, The coolant should be changed every 2 years.
Note: This machine was filled at the factory with Caterpillar Extended Life Coolant. If the coolant in the machine is changed to Extended Life Coolant from another type of coolant, see Special Publication, SEBU6250, “Caterpillar Machine Fluids Recommendations”.
