Draining Water From Water Separator

To use the separator/desiccator as a separator, do not install the desiccator bag.

At least once each day, open the water separator water drain and collect the discharge into a container. When the flow stops, close the drain. The discharge will contain some dissolved or suspended solvent. Dispose of this residue in accordance with local regulations.

Warning: Ensure the pump motors are turned off before starting the lubrication process.

Supply and return recirculation ball valves closed

Canister cover clamp unfastened and removed

Cover removed and o-ring gasket inspected

Bag removed from the housing and solvent drained

Bag suspended in the freeboard area until dripping stops

Soils disposed of in accordance with local regulations

Is the CONTAMINATION WARNING Indicator lighted but the degreaser has not shut down on B/S TEMP FAULT?

Remove 2-3 inches of solvent from the ultrasonic sump.

Caution: Do not drain the ultrasonic sump below the top of the ultrasonic sump heater.

Monitor the level in the ultrasonic sump. Drain additional solvent if it starts to overflow into the boil sump.

Allow the degreaser to boil until it shuts down on B/S TEMP FAULT or B/S LEVEL FAULT.

Drain the solvent from the boil sump.

Refill the degreaser using the solvent removed in the first step. Add solvent as required.
