Ensure that decontamination agents do not react with device components or charging material.

Select the decontamination method based on contamination type and charging material.

Ensure all inflammable goods are removed before hot air sterilization.

Spray the inner chamber with an appropriate disinfectant.

Ensure the chamber is absolutely dry and ventilated before start-up.

Disconnect the power plug before starting maintenance work

Ensure the chamber does not become wet during maintenance

Do not remove the rear panel of the chamber

Ensure maintenance is conducted by licensed electricians or authorized experts

Is the maintenance work performed at least once a year?

Are the legal requirements met regarding the qualifications of service personnel, scope of testing, and documentation?

Replace the door gasket only when cold

Disconnect the chamber from the power supply

Thoroughly remove any residues of the charging material

Wipe surfaces with a moistened towel

Use appropriate cleaning agents for surfaces

Completely remove cleaning agents from surfaces with a moistened towel

Ensure compliance with applicable regulations (e.g., DGUV guidelines 213-850 for Germany).

Verify the chamber type and corresponding safety controller class (2 or 3.1).

Safety Controller Function Check

Check the functionality of the safety controller.

Is the safety controller set-point approximately 2 °C to 5 °C above the desired temperature set-point?

Visually inspect for any alarm messages indicating a fault.

Did the safety controller maintain control of the chamber temperature?
