DANGER - Electrical hazard. Danger of death.

Ensure the unit does NOT become wet during operation or maintenance work.

Do NOT remove the rear panel of the unit.

Disconnect the unit before conducting maintenance work.

Ensure all maintenance work is conducted by licensed electricians or experts authorized by BINDER.

Was the maintenance work performed by authorized personnel?

Observe guideline BGI/GUV-I 850-0 on safe working in laboratories.

Turn the control knob (7) counter-clockwise until the chamber turns off.

Did the indicator lamp (7a) light up and the buzzer sound?

Press the reset button (7b) to release the safety device.

Turn on the chamber as described.

Turn the control knob (7) to its end-stop (position 10) for chamber protection.

Disconnect the chamber from the power supply

Use adequate personal safety controls

Select the decontamination method

Remove all inflammable goods from the interior before hot air sterilization

Ensure the unit is absolutely dry and ventilated before start-up after spraying disinfectant

Sterilize inner chamber parts in a sterilizer or autoclave if removed

Unpacking and Initial Inspection

Check the chamber and optional accessories for completeness based on the delivery receipt

Is there any transportation damage?

Remove any transportation protection devices and adhesives from the chamber and doors

Take out the operating manuals and accessory equipment

Ensure the chamber is lifted from the pallet at its four lower corners with the aid of 2 people

Verify the functionality of the safety controller

Is the safety controller functioning properly?

Temperature Set-Point Verification

Enter the current temperature set-point of the safety controller

Enter the desired temperature set-point

Set the safety controller set-point 2°C to 5°C above the desired temperature set-point

Is the safety controller set-point correctly adjusted above the desired temperature set-point?
