Drain a pint of oil from the reservoir after several hours of operation

Check the pump’s suction lines for air leakage if foam is present

Take oil sample to local supplier for assessment

Is a complete oil change needed based on supplier's assessment?

Crank limit switches to the lowest position

Put machine in JOG and press DOWN button until cylinders bottom out

Enter the pressure reading in PSI

Turn machine to RUN to re-adjust limit switches

JOG ram down to the bottom of the stroke. Hold switch, read pressure.

Enter the pressure reading in psi

Is the pressure within the maximum limit of 2,500 psi?

Grease the two zerks on each end of the gibs at 8 hours of running time intervals.

One-Shot Lubrication (Optional)

Using the grease pump attached to lube station, manually pump grease into the machine for normal usage.

Operate the one-shot grease pump every 8 hours of running time for extended usage.

Automatic Lubrication (Optional)

Ensure the auto lube provides grease to all points on the gibs upon initial start-up of the Press Brake for normal usage.

Set the timer on the machine to control greasing intervals after initial start-up for extended usage.

Initial Inspection and Cleaning

Inspect and clean the following parts for dirt and foreign material

Remove rust proofing compound with an acceptable solvent

Use safety glasses and gloves during cleaning

Clean the Press Brake with an approved solvent and clean rags

Ensure no air hose or waste cloth is used during cleaning
