Is the bearing at normal operating temperature?

Select the appropriate grease based on temperature conditions

Add grease to purge the seals without over-lubricating

Was the lubrication process completed without over-lubricating?

Remove contaminants from exterior

Ensure motor air inlet and outlet are open

Blow out interior of open motors with clean compressed air at low pressure

Ensure original clearances are held

Fasten all plugs, screws, and other hardware securely

Ensure parts replacements are exact duplicates or approved equals

Confirm Underwriters’ Label is valid

Shut off water to float valve and open the drain connection for flushing of the sump

Water Level and Distribution System

Inspect the water distribution system to ensure nozzles and spray orifices are functioning correctly

Is the circulation pump on and fans off during inspection?

Turn off power to the unit before opening the access door

Filter Inspection and Replacement

Inspect the following for cleanliness and proper placement

Are all filters clean and in place?

Replace or clean old or dirty filters with the same size filters as indicated

Ensure all filters are properly installed and secured

Is the unit ready for operation with all filters in place?

Shut off all electrical power to the unit to avoid shock hazard or injury from rotating parts

Ensure the following components are clean

Inspect unit interior at the beginning of each heating and cooling season

Describe any issues found during inspection
