Turn off power before cleaning blower wheel

Inspect blower and blower section for cleanliness

Is the blower and blower section clean after inspection?

Verify pump operates in the direction indicated by the arrow on the pump casing

Has the motor been disconnected recently?

Check rotation after motor leads have been disconnected

Electrical Connections and Specifications

Check all connections of motor and starting device with wiring diagram

Enter the voltage of the line circuit

Enter the phase of the line circuit

Enter the frequency of the line circuit

Verify line circuit specifications match motor name plate

Shut off all electrical power to the unit to avoid shock hazard or injury from rotating parts

Ensure the following components are clean

Inspect unit interior at the beginning of each heating and cooling season

Describe any issues found during inspection

Evaporator Coil Inspection and Cleaning

Inspect evaporator coil for obstructions to air flow

Clean evaporator coil if necessary

Condenser Coil Inspection and Cleaning

Inspect condenser coil for obstructions

Clean condenser coil annually or as required by location or outdoor air conditions

Check condensate drain at start of cooling season

Clean condensate drain if necessary

Remove contaminants from exterior

Ensure motor air inlet and outlet are open

Blow out interior of open motors with clean compressed air at low pressure

Ensure original clearances are held

Fasten all plugs, screws, and other hardware securely

Ensure parts replacements are exact duplicates or approved equals

Confirm Underwriters’ Laboratories label is valid
