Ensure the bearing is at normal operating temperature but not running

Select the grease used for re-lubrication

Polymer Wheel Air Seals Adjustment

Loosen diameter seal adjusting screws

Back seals away from wheel surface

Rotate wheel clockwise until two opposing spokes are hidden behind the bearing support beam

Use a folded piece of paper as a feeler gauge between the wheel surface and diameter seals

Adjust seals towards wheel surface until slight friction on the feeler gauge is detected

Recheck clearance with feeler gauge

Disconnect electrical power before servicing energy recovery cassette

Keep hands away from bearing support beam when installing or removing segments

Inspect the following components

Clean the energy transfer media to maintain optimal performance

Record the frequency of cleaning based on application and air quality

Ensure all necessary equipment and materials are available

Select the cleaning acid to use

Pump the cleaning liquid through the exchanger

Rinse the heat exchanger with clean water

Select the neutralizing solution to use before the last rinse

Aluminum Wheel Air Seals Inspection

Check the condition of the non-contact sealing on wheel peripheries and brush sealing middle beam

Are the non-contact seals free from being flipped, rolled, or pierced?

Aluminum Wheel Brush Plate Inspection

Inspect the condition of the brushes and their adherence to the wheel matrix surface

Do the brushes require replacement or repositioning?

Adjust the position of the brushes if necessary

Aluminum Wheel Purge Sector Inspection

Check the condition, rigidness, and cleanliness of the purge sectors
