Turn off power to the unit before opening the access door

Filter Inspection and Replacement

Inspect the following for obstructions to air flow

Access the filter section through the filter section door

Replace or clean the following filters as necessary

Ensure all filters are in place before operating the unit

Evaporator Coil Inspection and Cleaning

Inspect evaporator coil for obstructions to air flow

Clean evaporator coil if necessary

Condenser Coil Inspection and Cleaning

Inspect condenser coil for obstructions

Clean condenser coil if necessary

Check condensate drain at start of cooling season

Clean condensate drain if necessary

Ensure the equipment is not running and is at normal operating temperature.

Gather necessary tools and materials, including waterproof, lithium-based grease.

Select the appropriate grease based on temperature conditions

Add grease to the bearings until the seals are purged. Avoid over-lubrication.

Is there any excess grease around the seals?

Remove contaminants from exterior

Ensure motor air inlet and outlet are open

Blow out interior of open motors with clean compressed air at low pressure

Ensure original clearances are held

Fasten all plugs, screws, and other hardware securely

Ensure parts replacements are exact duplicates or approved equals

Confirm Underwriters’ Laboratories label is valid

Shut off water to float valve and open the drain connection for flushing of the sump

Water Level and Distribution System

Inspect the water distribution system with circulation pump on and fans off

Ensure nozzles and spray orifices are functioning correctly
