Ensure the system is turned off

Gather necessary cleaning tools and safety equipment

Inspect the following areas for dirt and debris

Is there any visible damage to the wheel?

Clean the wheel using appropriate cleaning agents for Class 3 environments

Was the wheel cleaned thoroughly?

Ensure all necessary tools are available

Is the water temperature less than 54.4°C (130°F)?

Is the water pressure less than 689.5 kPa (100 psig)?

Are surface loaded fibers or dirt present?

Select the method used to remove surface loaded fibers or dirt

Perform a low velocity clean water rinse

Disconnect power to wheel drive motor

Remove belt from pulley and position temporarily around wheel rim

Loosen set screw in wheel drive pulley using a hex head wrench

Remove pulley from motor drive shaft

Support weight of drive motor and loosen and remove (4) mounting bolts

Install replacement motor with hardware kit supplied

Ensure the system is turned off

Gather necessary cleaning tools and materials

Inspect the energy recovery wheel for visible dirt and debris

Vacuum the surface of the wheel to remove loose particles

Use a mild detergent solution to clean the wheel surface

Rinse the wheel thoroughly with clean water

Check for any damage or wear on the wheel

Inspection of Purge Sector Condition

Check the condition of the purge sector

Verify the rigidness of the purge sector

Measure the distance of the sector against the recovery wheel matrix

Use compressed air to clean the purge sector if required
