Ensure the machine is powered off and disconnected from the power source

Remove any covers or guards to access the belt

Measure the current belt tension

Is the belt tension within the recommended range?

Does the belt require tension adjustment?

Adjust the belt tension if necessary

Ensure all gas supply lines are purged of air before turning on the electrical power switch.

Turn the gas valve to the on position.

Turn the main electrical power on and set controls to heating mode.

Check all gas piping connections for leaks before operation and startup.

Check all connections for leaks annually after installation.

Is the combustion ventilation motor enabled?

Does the flame sensing probe detect the presence of the flame within 10 seconds?

Ensure availability of Simple Green (Part# T10701) from AAON Parts and Supply

Prepare a 4 to 1 solution of water and Simple Green

Rinse the coil completely with water using a hard spray

Ensure the spray is not too hard to avoid bending the fins

Application of Simple Green Solution

Fill a pump sprayer with the prepared Simple Green solution

Spray the air inlet face of the coil from the fan side

Gain access to the aluminum energy recovery wheel

Remove the energy recovery wheel from the unit

Remove small foreign materials using one of the following methods

Use compressed air at a distance of at least 0.08 m (2 ft) from the wheel

Ensure compressed air pressure is not too high to avoid damaging the aluminum media

Use water at a distance of at least 0.08 m (2 ft) from the wheel

Ensure pressure washer or compressed air is set to low pressure to prevent fin and/or coil damages.

Confirm no harsh chemicals, household bleach, or acid cleaners are used.

Select the approved coil cleaner used

Clean the coil with the selected approved coil cleaner following the manufacturer's directions.

Use the approved chloride remover to remove soluble salts and revitalize the unit.

Is the coil free from mold, mildew, dust, soot, greasy residue, lint, and other particulate?
