Coil Cleaning
Preparation
Ensure the power to the unit is off and locked out.
Clean the area around the unit to remove leaves, grass, or loose debris.
Barrier Removal
Remove any grease or oil film with GulfClean™ Coil Cleaner.
Ensure all barriers such as soils, grease, or dirt are removed to allow contact with salts.
Application of GulfClean™ Coil Cleaner
Apply GulfClean™ Coil Cleaner to the interior air exiting side coil surfaces first.
Work in sections/panels moving side to side and from top to bottom.
Brazed Plate Heat Exchanger Cleaning
Preparation
Ensure all necessary equipment and materials are available
Cleaning Process
Prepare a cleaning solution with 5% phosphoric acid or 5% oxalic acid
Set the cleaning solution flow rate to at least 1.5 times the normal flow rate
Is the cleaning solution being pumped in a back-flush mode?
Pump the cleaning liquid through the exchanger
Post-Cleaning Rinse
Rinse the heat exchanger with clean water

Preparation
Ensure the unit is turned off before starting
Shut off all electrical power to the unit to avoid shock hazard or injury from rotating parts
Cleaning Procedure
Select the appropriate chemical cleaner
Ensure water pressure does not exceed 689.5 kpa (100 psi)
Maintain a minimum distance of 15.25 centimeters (6 inches) from the coils while cleaning
Is the water aimed perpendicular to the coils?

Remove any covers or guards to access the belt

Remove two bearing access plate retaining screws and the access plate
Loosen set screw in bearing locking collar using hexagonal wrench
Tap collar in the direction of wheel rotation to unlock collar using light hammer and drift
Remove collar
Bearing Removal
Remove two nuts securing bearing housing to the bearing support beam using socket wrench with extension
Slide bearing from shaft
