Inspection of Air Seals and Wheel Drive Components

Inspect air seals for wear and tear

Inspect wheel drive components for proper operation

Cleaning of Energy Transfer Media

Determine air class for cleaning frequency

Clean the energy transfer media

Is the energy recovery wheel operating at optimal performance?

Describe any issues encountered during cleaning

Inspection of Fans, Evaporator Coils, and Filters

Inspect the following components

Is the unit located in a coastal or industrial environment?

Perform a clean water rinse on the coils

Describe any issues encountered during coil cleaning

Shut off all electrical power to the unit to avoid shock hazard or injury from rotating parts

Inspect all air filters for condition and cleanliness

Aluminum Wheel Drive Components Inspection

Ensure all components are in place

Is the belt tension within the optimal range?

Is it possible to insert anything underneath the belt along its entire length?

Does the belt slip during operation?

Visual Condition and Convergence Check

Is the belt free from mechanical damage?

Does the belt pass freely without encountering obstacles inside the housing?

Belt Tension Adjustment Procedure

Suction Filter Removal Instructions

Shut down operation of the unit.

Close both shut-off valves to isolate the suction filter.

Reclaim the refrigerant from the suction filter section.

Remove the bolts from the suction filter end plate.

Remove the pleated filter assembly.

Replace the suction filter end plate and bolts.

Evacuate the suction filter assembly to 300 microns.

Obtain access to the pulley side bearing access plate if bearing access plates are provided.

Remove two bearing access plate retaining screws and the access plate.

Using hexagonal wrench, loosen set screw in bearing locking collar.

Using light hammer and drift, tap collar in the direction of wheel rotation to unlock collar.

Using socket wrench with extension, remove two nuts which secure bearing housing to the bearing support beam.
