Shut off all electrical power to the unit to avoid shock hazard or injury from rotating parts

Inspect blower wheels and bands for excessive dust build up

Is there excessive dust build up on blower wheels?

Clean blower wheels if excessive dust build up is found

Check for any signs of vibration or component failure after cleaning

Ensure all components are securely fastened after maintenance

Disconnect power to wheel drive motor

Remove belt from pulley and position temporarily around wheel rim

Loosen set screw in wheel drive pulley using a hex head wrench

Remove pulley from motor drive shaft

While supporting weight of drive motor, loosen and remove (4) mounting bolts

Install replacement motor with hardware kit supplied

Examples of areas with moderately clean air

Inspect the energy recovery wheel for visible dirt and debris

Is there any visible damage to the wheel?

Clean the wheel using appropriate cleaning agents

Was the wheel dried properly after cleaning?

Inspection of Purge Sector Condition

Check the condition of the purge sector

Verify the rigidness of the purge sector

Inspect the cleanliness of the purge sector

Use compressed air to clean the purge sector if required

Measure the distance of the sector against the recovery wheel matrix

Ensure the unit is turned off before starting

Shut off all electrical power to the unit to avoid shock hazard or injury from rotating parts

Select the appropriate chemical cleaner

Ensure water pressure does not exceed 689.5 kpa (100 psi)

Maintain a minimum distance of 15.25 centimeters (6 inches) from the coils while cleaning

Aim water perpendicular to the coils during cleaning
