Check the number and size of filters needed for the unit

Inspect filters for dirt and debris

Replace filters if they cannot be cleaned

Ensure filters are installed ahead of evaporator coil

Verify that filters are of the same size and type as required

Ensure main manual shut-off valve is closed and all electric power to the unit is shut off

Remove screws holding either end of the manifold to the burner supports

Open the union fitting in the gas supply line just upstream of the unit gas valve and downstream from the main manual shut-off valve

Remove the gas piping closure panel

Disconnect wiring to the gas valves and spark ignitors

Remove the manifold-burner gas valve assembly by lifting up and pulling back

Check burners for accessibility and service

Reverse the procedure to replace the assemblies ensuring burners are level and seated at the rear of the heat exchanger

Use belt tension checker to apply perpendicular force at midpoint of belt span

Enter the deflection distance obtained (mm)

Enter the deflection force applied (N)

Use special pipe dope for assembly

Clean piping of dirt and scale by hammering on the outside of the pipe

Blow out loose particles from the pipe

Ensure all gas lines external to the unit have been purged of air

Read the safety warning carefully before proceeding.

Ensure the use of special pipe dope for assembling pipes

Open the main shut-off valve to admit normal gas pressure to the mains.

Check all joints for leaks using a soap solution or other suitable material.

Confirm no open flames are used during the leak test.
