Connect a manometer to the outlet pressure port on the gas valve to monitor the manifold pressure

Remove cover screws covering HI and LO pressure adjustment screws

Set thermostat to call for second stage heat and start furnace

Is the second stage manifold pressure within the specified range?

Close main manual shut-off valve

Open the union fitting upstream of the unit gas valve

Remove screws holding manifold to supports

Disconnect wiring to the gas valve

Remove manifold & gas valve assembly

Review installation for errors, leaks, or undesirable system effects

Are there any installation errors or leaks?

Enter the measured CFM at unit start-up

Enter the existing datum diameter (DD) of the variable pitch motor sheave

Calculate the new datum diameter (DD) using the formula: (Required CFM/Measured CFM)*Existing DD

Has the new datum diameter (DD) been set correctly?

Adjust blower speed to specific static and CFM requirements

Adjust belt tension to specific static and CFM requirements

Tighten blower pulley set screws

Tighten motor sheave set screws

Re-check set screws after 10-12 hours run time

Loosen the three nuts (A and B on side and C on back) of motor mount slide plate.

Adjust tension by placing a flat head screwdriver into the belt tightening slots and applying pressure against the motor mounting plate.

Tighten the three loosened nuts (A, B and C).

Determine the deflection distance from normal position using a straight edge from sheave to sheave as reference line.

Use belt tension checker to apply a perpendicular force to the belt at the midpoint of the span and measure deflection distance.

Is the deflection distance 4mm (5/32")?
