Adjust blower speed and belt tension

Tighten blower pulley set screws

Tighten motor sheave set screws

Post 10-12 Hours Run Time Checks

Re-check blower pulley set screws

Re-check motor sheave set screws

Use a special pipe dope for assembling wrought iron or steel pipe

Clean all piping of dirt and scale by hammering on the outside of the pipe

Blow out loose particles from the pipe

Have all gas lines external to the unit been purged of air?

Loosen the three nuts (A and B on side and C on back) of motor mount slide plate.

Adjust tension by placing a flat head screwdriver into the belt tightening slots and applying pressure against the motor mounting plate.

Tighten the three loosened nuts (A, B and C).

Determine the deflection distance from normal position using a straight edge from sheave to sheave as reference line.

Enter the deflection distance obtained using the belt tension checker.

Is the deflection distance 4mm (5/32")?

Gas Connection and Pressure Check

Open the main shut-off valve to admit normal gas pressure to the mains.

Check all joints for leaks using a soap solution or other suitable material.

Ensure ZX units are properly phased at the factory

Is the blower rotating in the correct direction at start-up?

Is the electrical connection to the unit correctly phased?

Change the phasing of the Field Line Connection if misphased

High-leg Delta Power Supply Precautions

Is the facility using a 3 phase high-leg delta power supply?

Measure voltage of A or L1 phase to ground
