Loosen six nuts (top and bottom) A

Ensure nuts (C) are not loosened

Use belt tension checker to apply perpendicular force to one belt at midpoint of span

Enter the deflection distance obtained (mm)

Enter the deflection distance obtained (inches)

Use a straight edge from sheave to sheave as reference line to determine deflection distance from normal position

Enter the recommended deflection force for the belt section

Clean all piping of dirt and scale by hammering on the outside of the pipe.

Blow out loose particles from the piping.

Have all gas lines external to the unit been purged of air?

Check that all filters are installed ahead of the evaporator coil

Inspect filters for dirt and debris

Clean or replace dirty filters with the same size and type

Ensure the unit is not operated without properly installed filters

Verify that panel latches are properly positioned to maintain an airtight seal

Verify that the unit is properly phased at the factory.

Is the blower rotating in the correct direction?

Is the compressor rotating in the correct direction?

Check for signs of misphasing in the compressor

Is the electrical connection to the unit misphased?

Change the phasing of the Field Line Connection at the factory or field supplied disconnect to obtain proper rotation.

Gas Connection and Pressure Check

Open the main shut-off valve to admit normal gas pressure to the mains.

Check all joints for leaks using a soap solution or other suitable material. NEVER USE A FLAME.

Was a commercially available soap solution used for leak detection?
