Inspect unit for possible damage during transit

Note extent of damage on carrier’s freight bill if damage is evident

Request inspection by the carrier’s agent in writing

Ensure compliance with installation instructions and applicable codes

Disconnect furnace and shut-off valve from gas supply piping system during pressure testing above 1/2 PSIG

Replace gas valve if subjected to pressure greater than 1/2 PSIG

Isolate furnace from gas supply piping system by closing manual shut-off valve during pressure testing at or below 1/2 PSIG

Remove the adjustment screw cap(s) on the regulator

Adjust the gas pressure by turning the adjusting screw counterclockwise to decrease pressure or clockwise to increase pressure

Verification of Manifold Pressure

Enter the current manifold pressure reading

Is the manifold pressure set to the factory standard of 3.50 IWG?

Verify that the ZE units are properly phased at the factory.

Is the electrical connection to the unit correctly phased?

Is the compressor rotating in the correct direction?

Check for signs of misphasing in the scroll compressor

Is the blower rotating backwards?

Describe the corrective actions taken if misphasing was detected.

Check the number and size of filters needed for the unit

Verify that filters are installed ahead of the evaporator coil

Inspect filters for dirt and debris

Clean or replace dirty filters with the same size and type

Ensure panel latches are properly positioned for an airtight seal

Confirm the unit is not operated without filters properly installed

Ensure all safety precautions are in place

Remove screws holding the manifold to the burner supports

Open the union fitting in the gas supply line

Remove the gas piping closure panel

Disconnect wiring to the gas valves and spark ignitors

Remove the manifold-burner gas valve assembly

Check burners for accessibility and service

Reverse the procedure to replace the assemblies

Ensure burners are level and seated at the rear of the heat exchanger
