Inspect the printer cabinet carefully

Inspect all fluid bearing components for leaks

Perform the autoflush procedure manually

Press the HEAD key to begin the printhead shutdown sequence

Disconnect the AC power cable from the AC power

Remove the screw that fastens the front printhead cover

Inspect the printhead assembly for foreign particles and ink build-up

Ink build-up is found in the components

How to Replace the Ink and Make-Up Fluid Bottles

When the printer indicates that the ink and the make-up fluid are low in the supply, replace the ink and make-up fluid bottles.

When the ink is low, empty, or full, the printer displays the icons shown in Figure 8-5.

When the make-up fluid is low, empty, or full, the printer displays the icons shown in Figure 8-6.

The inks used in the Videojet Excel Dual Nozzle printers dry very fast.

When the ink is left open to air, or if the ink is circulated within the printer, the ink becomes hard.

To correct this problem the printer adds make-up fluid to keep the ink thin.
