Select the back flushing method used

Are strainers installed in the supply lines ahead of the exchanger?

Inspect strainers for blockages and clean if necessary

Return the unit to normal operating flow direction

Verify that the unit is operating correctly after backflushing

Lubrication of Upper Guide Bars

Coat upper guide bars with lubricant

Lubricate rollers in the moveable end frame

Lubricate rollers in the connecting frames

Gradually decrease the pressure of both fluids simultaneously until all pressure is relieved.

Is the unit cooled to a warm temperature before opening?

Completely drain fluids from the unit.

Disconnect all connections to the 'E' moveable frame.

Lubricate all bolts prior to disassembly.

Loosen and remove all bolts except those indicated by a 'filled circle' in the sketch for the size unit involved.

Loosen the four remaining bolts in any left-right sequence at 1/4 in. increments until they can be lifted out.

Gradually decrease the pressure of both fluids simultaneously until all pressure is relieved.
