Attach a pressure gauge or a manometer to the gauge port and check for correct manifold pressure.

Is the manifold pressure within the acceptable range?

Ensure other gas consuming appliances are turned off during this interval.

Enter the time in seconds to burn one cubic foot of gas (T).

Enter the gas heating value in Btu per cubic foot of gas (H).

Calculate and enter the actual boiler input per hour (Btuh) using the formula (3600/T)xH=Btuh.

Ensure the boiler is turned off and cooled down

Verify all necessary tools and cleaning solutions are available

Record the initial water volume in the system

Add the recommended percentage of cleaning solution to the system

Is the cleaning solution properly mixed with the system water?

Fire and circulate the system for one hour

Inspect all safety devices including low water cutoffs for proper operation

Low Water Cutoff Device Maintenance

Flush the low water cutoff device of the float type

Check for any obstructions in the combustion and ventilation air flow.

Ensure the boiler area is clear and free from combustible materials, gasoline, and other flammable vapors and liquids.

Sweep the floor around the boiler carefully to reduce dust and dirt.

Clean the area around the unit, ensuring it is free from lint and debris.

Is the area around the boiler clean and free from lint and debris?

Is the flow of combustion and ventilation air to the boiler unobstructed?

Is the circulating pump properly sized for the application?

Oil the three oil cups (2 on the motor, 1 on the pump) as instructed on the oil tube supplied with the unit

Add 2 or 3 teaspoonfuls in bearing oil cups

Add 10 or 12 drops in the motor oil cups
