Attach a pressure gauge or a manometer to the gauge port and check for correct manifold pressure.

Is the pressure within the limit indicated on the rating plate?

Ensure all other gas consuming appliances are turned off.

Enter the time in seconds to burn one cubic foot of gas (T).

Enter the gas heating value in Btu per cubic foot of gas (H).

Calculate the actual boiler input per hour (Btuh) using the formula (3600/T)xH.

Remove cover panel from far side of water connections

Expose the heat exchanger return bends

Remove return bends using a 9/16" deep socket ratchet

Inspect tubes to ensure they are free of scale and deposits

Remove deposits with a stiff wire brush or mechanical tube cleaner to bare metal

Shut off all electric to the unit

Disconnect pilot line connection at main burner

Turn off the electrical power, main manual gas shutoff and pilot valves.

Allow boiler parts to cool before disassembly.

Remove the internal flue collector and vent pipe running to the chimney.

Check parts and chimney for obstructions and clean as necessary.

Remove burners from boiler and other metal parts as required to clean as necessary.

Refer to parts list supplied with this manual for disassembly aid.

Ensure all appliances remain connected to the common existing system

Seal any unused openings in the common venting system

Visually inspect the venting system for proper size and horizontal pitch

Check for blockage, restriction, leakage, corrosion, and other deficiencies

Close all building doors and windows

Close all doors between the appliance space and other spaces

Turn on clothes dryers and any appliance not connected to the common venting system
