Inspect the front and rear case for the following issues

Repair or replace defective module if any issues are found

Inspect the front-panel knobs for the following issues

Repair or replace missing or defective knobs if any issues are found

Inspect the connectors for the following issues

Repair or replace defective modules and clear or wash out dirt if any issues are found

Refer to the Removal Procedures for accessing the oscilloscope interior

Inspect circuit boards for the following issues

Inspect resistors for the following issues

Inspect solder connections for the following issues

Inspect capacitors for the following issues

Inspect wiring and cables for the following issues

Inspect chassis for the following issues

Has the oscilloscope been operating continuously for twenty minutes within the specified temperature range?

Has the ambient temperature changed by more than 5 °C since the last calibration?

Ensure the oscilloscope is powered on.

Navigate to the Self Calibration menu on the oscilloscope.

Initiate the Self Calibration process.

Did the Self Calibration complete successfully?

Set the DC voltage source output level and record measurements

Record Vpos and Vneg for each setting

Calculate Vdiff and compare to accuracy limits

Set sine wave generator frequency to 50 kHz and record peak-to-peak measurement

Is the peak-to-peak measurement between 2.98 V and 3.02 V?

Set sine wave generator frequency to model-specific upper frequency and record peak-to-peak amplitude

Is the peak-to-peak amplitude ≥ 2.12 V?

Ensure no chemical cleaning agents are used

Prepare deionized water for cleaning

Prepare 75% isopropyl alcohol solution

Clean exterior surfaces with a dry lint-free cloth or soft-bristle brush

Is there any remaining dirt after initial cleaning?

Use a cloth or swab dipped in 75% isopropyl alcohol solution for remaining dirt

Use a swab to clean narrow spaces around controls and connectors
