Immobilize the impeller by wedging a block of wood between the vanes and the pump casing.

Remove the impeller capscrew and washer (25 and 26).

Install the shaft key (22).

Install a lathe dog on the drive end of the shaft (23) with the 'V' notch positioned over the shaft key.
