Power off the instrument and disconnect it from line voltage

Blow off dust with dry, low-pressure, deionized air (approximately 9 psi)

Remove remaining dust with a lint-free cloth dampened in isopropyl alcohol (75% solution) and wipe with a lint-free cloth dampened with warm deionized water

Is the module clean after steps 1 and 2?

Advanced Cleaning (if necessary)

Spray wash modules (except Display and Front Panel) with 75% isopropyl alcohol solution

Check that all the parts are in place

Is the oscilloscope free from visible damage?

Clean the oscilloscope exterior surfaces

Ensure the LCD screen is free from dust and smudges

Ensure the oscilloscope is stored away from direct sunlight

Ensure the oscilloscope is stored in a low humidity environment

Gather necessary cleaning materials

Choose the cleaning solution to use

Moisten the wipe with the chosen solution

Gently rub the display surface with the moistened wipe

Was the display cleaned without damage?

Has the oscilloscope been operating continuously for twenty minutes?

Is the oscilloscope within the specified operating temperature range?

Initiate the Self Calibration operation on the oscilloscope.

Did the Self Calibration complete successfully?

Has the ambient temperature changed by more than 5 °C since the last calibration?

Repeat the Self Calibration if the temperature change exceeds 5 °C.

Ensure no chemical cleaning agents are used

Prepare deionized water for cleaning

Prepare 75% isopropyl alcohol solution

Clean exterior surfaces with a dry lint-free cloth or soft-bristle brush

Is there any dirt remaining after initial cleaning?

Use cloth or swab dipped in 75% isopropyl alcohol solution for remaining dirt

Use swab to clean narrow spaces around controls and connectors
