Refer to the Removal Procedures to access the inside of the oscilloscope

Ensure circuit boards and components are dry before applying power

Inspect circuit boards for the following issues

Inspect resistors for the following issues

Inspect solder connections for the following issues

Inspect capacitors for the following issues

Inspect wiring and cables for the following issues

Power off the instrument and disconnect it from line voltage

Blow off dust with dry, low-pressure, deionized air (approximately 9 psi)

Remove remaining dust with a lint-free cloth dampened in isopropyl alcohol (75% solution) and wipe with a lint-free cloth dampened with warm deionized water

Is the module clean after steps 1 and 2?

Advanced Cleaning (if necessary)

Spray wash modules (except Display and Front Panel) with 75% isopropyl alcohol solution

Inspect the oscilloscope for any physical damage

Ensure the following parts are in place

Clean the oscilloscope exterior with a dry cloth

Ensure no liquids or solvents are used during cleaning

Storage and Handling Recommendations

Is the oscilloscope stored away from direct sunlight?

Is the oscilloscope stored in a low humidity environment?

Warm up the oscilloscope for at least ten minutes in an ambient temperature between 20 °C and 30 °C.

Push the Service option button.

Factory Calibration Initialization

Push the Factory Cal option button.

Push the Warmup Timer option button.

Push the Start Timer option button to allow a 10-minute warmup.

Gather cleaning materials (distilled water or 75% isopropyl alcohol solution and a soft wipe)

Moisten the wipe with distilled water or 75% isopropyl alcohol solution if the display is very dirty

Gently rub the display surface with the wipe

Check for any damage on the plastic display surface
