If the wheel is unbalanced, it must be rebalanced or replaced.

Choose the method of balancing the blower wheel

When trim balancing the wheel, ensure the welder is grounded directly to the wheel.

Is the wheel properly installed with the correct wheel-to-inlet clearance?

Failure to maintain proper wheel-to-inlet clearance will affect the blower’s airflow (CFM), and/or static pressure (SP) capabilities and efficiency.

Sign off on the wheel balance check

Warning: Excessive vibration can cause premature motor failure. Always perform this check after any routine maintenance.

Enter the current vibration reading

Enter the previous vibration reading from Table 3

Are the current and previous readings similar?

If readings are not similar, determine and correct the cause before putting the blower back into operation.

Select the potential causes of vibration problems

Sign off on the vibration check

Warning: Only trained personnel should perform this procedure.

If motor does not have grease fittings, skip the next steps and sign off.

Was the grease gun pressure no more than 40 PSI?

Was the motor running during lubrication?

Sign off on the motor bearing lubrication
