10000 Hourly Motor Maintenance
8.1 Inspection and maintenance intervals
Isolate the motor and brake from the supply before starting work, safeguarding them against unintentional power-up
Inspect the motor

Remove the forced cooling fan and encoder, if installed
Remove flange or fan guard, fan
Remove the hex head bolt from the drive end bearing end shield and the non-drive end bearing end shield, release the stator from the drive end bearing end shield
For motors with BM/BMG brake: open the terminal box cover, unfasten the brake cable from the rectifier; push the non-drive end bearing end shield and the brake off the stator and carefully lift them off
For motors with BMG02, BR03 brake: remove the complete brake with the releasing lever

Remove incremental encoder ES1. / ES2. / EH1.
Remove the proximity sensor NV1. / NV2.

Change the low-viscosity grease in the backstop every 10,000 hours of operation for motors with a backstop
