8.1 Inspection and maintenance intervals

Check the condition of the anticorrosion coating

Is the coating intact and free from significant wear?

Touch up or renew the surface/anticorrosion coating as needed

Changing the braking torque for BR03 brake

Isolate the motor and brake from the supply, safeguarding them against unintentional power-up

Unscrew the hand lever, remove the fan guard and the fan

Loosen the screws and remove the complete brake with the releasing lever

Loosen the screws and remove the guide ring with friction plate, brake disc, pressure plate and damping plate

Remove the brake springs from the brake coil body and replace them with new ones

Position the new brake springs symmetrically

Slide the damping plate over the studs attached to the pressure plate with the embossing pattern facing the pressure plate

Place the pressure plate on the brake springs with the damping plate, ensuring correct positioning

8.1 Inspection and maintenance intervals

Use only genuine spare parts in accordance with the valid parts list

Install a new brake control system when replacing the brake coil

Ensure motors are not hot to avoid burns

Secure hoist drives or lower them to prevent falling

Isolate the motor and brake from the supply to prevent unintentional power-up

Brake types applicable for inspection

Document the calculated inspection/maintenance intervals based on project planning documents

Change the low-viscosity grease in the backstop every 10,000 hours of operation for motors with a backstop

8.3 Inspection / maintenance on the motor — Lubrication of the backstop

Enter the temperature range for the grease

Select the motor type to determine the amount of grease required

8.2 Preliminary work for motor and brake maintenance

Ensure motor and brake are isolated from power supply

Removing the EV1. incremental encoder / AV1H absolute encoder

Unscrew the screw [366] from the adapter flange and remove the cover plate [369]

Unscrew the clamping hub connection of the coupling

Loosen the retaining screws [232] and turn the conical spring washers [251] outwards

Remove the encoder [220] together with the coupling [233]

Lever off the intermediate flange [236] after removing the screws [234]

Ensure the runout of the shaft end is ≤ 0.05 mm during re-assembly
