Unscrew filter strainer cap from pickup tube and gently tap to dislodge crumbs

Use a clean cloth to remove remaining crumbs and reattach strainer cap

Scrape loose debris and crumbs from filter pickup assembly and filter pan with filter scoop shovel

Remove filter pickup and place in pot sink, power soak sink or dishwasher for cleaning

Rinse thoroughly and dry all surfaces before re-assembly

Wipe filter pan with clean damp cloth and food grade detergent

Disconnect the power supply before cleaning and servicing the appliance.

Empty the contents of the crumb catch and/or filter pan into a fireproof container at the end of the frying operation.

Detach the pickup tube from the filter pickup assembly by unscrewing it counterclockwise at the knurled fitting.

Slide off the filter paper clip and remove used filter paper from filter screen.

Replace with new filter paper, ensuring the hole in the paper is on the top so that the threaded fitting in filter screen protrudes through it.

Fold filter paper to the underside of the filter screen and replace filter paper clip.

Re-attach filter pickup tube to the filter screen by screwing it clockwise into the threaded fitting in filter screen.
