Warning: This maintenance task requires trained personnel with PPE!

To complete the following maintenance tasks, you must dismantle the plates and the vessels.

Risk of falls! The dryer must not be misused as a climbing aid! The components have not been designed for such loads and could fracture.

Depressurise the dryer and shut it down.

Loosen the screws at the top plate and lift off the plate.

Remove and replace upper perforated plates and pressure springs.

Before reassembling the check valve plate, you should replace the drying and the purifying agents.

Warning: Wear eye protection and dust mask due to increased dust generation when emptying the drying agent!

Use an industrial vacuum cleaner to hoover up carefully the drying agent out of the chambers.

Warning: This procedure requires trained personnel with PPE!

Pressure released from dryer and unit shut down?

Specifications of the valves checked?

Solenoid valves Y1/Y2 at the dryer rear open when not energised?

Solenoid valves Y3/Y4 at the dryer front closed when not energised?

New solenoid valves positioned at the points at which they are to be mounted?

Solenoid valve removed from the holder?

New diaphragm inserted with guide and secured to the holder?

New solenoid positioned onto the armature and secured to the spring bracket?

Pressure released from dryer and unit shut down

Securing screws at the rear of the check valve plate removed

New balls and springs inserted without jamming

Seals at the securing screws replaced and screws tightened

Dryer restarted if no other maintenance work is to be carried out

Sign off on the check valves replacement

Visual check for external damage on the dryer

Functional check for unusual noise generation from the dryer

Is the message 'SEr.' displayed on the dryer?

If 'SEr.' message is displayed, contact the service department of the manufacturer.

Dryer surfaces cleaned with a moist well wrung cloth

Sign off on the daily dryer maintenance

Warning: Hazard caused by blocked muffler! Blocked mufflers can cause a dangerous overpressure to build up which may cause the mufflers to burst. Flying fragments may cause personal injury and damage to property.

Warning against sudden air ejection! During expansion the pressure is released suddenly through the muffler: A loud cracking noise occurs which can injure your hearing. Particles carried in the air flow act like bullets and can injure your eyes or skin. Always wear eye and ear protection, therefore, when you are in the vicinity of the dryer!

Muffler checked and cleaned or renewed if contaminated?

Dryer depressurised and shut down?

Muffler replaced annually and after each desiccant change?

Sound absorber screwed tight again?

Sign off on the muffler replacement
