Remove the four 3/8-16 Bolts holding the volute to the motor bracket

Remove the impeller by holding the motor shaft with a large screwdriver and turning the impeller counter clockwise

Remove the Seal using two screwdrivers wedged into the seal at 180o apart

Remove the ceramic seat by removing the end bell gasket

Clean the motor shaft and the bracket of any corrosion or salt deposits

Replace the end bell gasket and the tap seat portion into the bracket cavity using a new gasket

Place the ceramic seat into the cavity over the shaft with the polished side toward the end of the shaft and tap into place evenly using a hollow piece of wood or plastic tool

Warning: This procedure requires trained personnel with PPE!

Does your Electric Motor have grease jerks at each end of the motor, over the front and rear bearings?

If your Electric Motor does not have grease jerks, stop the procedure and report to the maintenance team.

Did you give three pumps of high temperature motor bearing lubricant into each grease jerk?

NOTE! DO NOT USE LITHIUM OR SILICONE BASE GREASE.
