Locate and remove the screws holding the weight protection metal plate

Remove the metal plate and set it aside

Locate and remove the InCal test weight retainers

Remove the InCal test weight using a hand with gloves on

Securely set the InCal test weight aside

Remove the balance load cell metal cover to reveal the Block Style load cell.

Locate and remove the 2 cables connecting from the Block Style load cell to the balance main PCBA.

Locate and remove the 4 screws securing the Block Style Cell to the bottom housing.

Is the new load cell securely attached with screws?

Are the cables properly reconnected to the balance main PCBA?

Remove the balance weighing pan and securely set it aside

Gently release the two hinges securing the Windring to the balance top housing

Refer to the instructions on page 3-4 for removing Adventurer housing

Turn the balance off and unplug the power cord before you begin.

For a balance with a Draft Shield, remove the following components and set aside

Remove the EMC plate by removing the two screws holding it to the balance top housing.

Remove the two screws securing the draft shield housing to the balance.

Lift the back of the balance top housing upwards, then slide it upfront.

Gently lift the top housing from the bottom housing, ensuring not to remove it completely due to attached cables.

Remove the keypad membrane cable by unfastening the connector.

Remove the TFT LCD cable by lifting the connector lock upwards.

Open the balance and remove the Load Cell

Un-solder the wires attached to the Position Sensor Board

Remove the three screws holding the Position Sensor Board in place

Remove the Position Sensor Board and install the replacement

Insert all screws previously removed and tighten finger-tight
