Adventurer Type Conventional Mfr Load Cell Replacement
Preparation
Remove the balance load cell metal cover
Load Cell Disconnection
Locate and remove the cables connecting the Conventional MFR load cell to the balance main PCBA
Load Cell Removal
Locate and remove the screws securing the Conventional MFR Cell to the bottom housing
Off-Center Load Test
Initial Setup
Place a mass weighing half of the balance’s capacity in the center of the Pan.
Press the On/Off button to return the reading to zero.
Off-Center Load Movements
Move the mass halfway to the rear of the Pan and note the reading.
Move the mass halfway between the center and the left edge of the Pan and note the reading.
Move the mass halfway between the center and the right edge of the Pan and note the reading.
Move the mass halfway to the front of the Pan and note the reading.

Preliminary Steps
Turn off the balance and unplug the power cord
For a balance with a Draft Shield, remove the weighing pan and wind ring and set aside
Remove the EMC plate by removing the two screws holding it to the balance top housing
Remove the two screws securing the draft shield housing to the balance
Remove the balance top housing by lifting the back upwards and sliding it forward
Remove the keypad membrane cable by unfastening the connector
Remove the TFT LCD cable by lifting the connector lock upwards
Detach the latch located at the right front of the balance
Precision Test
Initial Setup
Tare the balance. Ensure the reading on the display is 0g.
Mass Weighing Test
Record the reading after placing a mass near the maximum capacity on the center of the Pan.
Remove the mass and ensure the reading returns to 0g ±1 count.
Repeat the test three times and ensure readings are within ±1 count of the recorded reading.
Precision Verification
Is the deviation within the tolerance listed in Table 4-1 or 4-2?
Inspect and correct the following areas if deviation is greater than tolerance
