Pan and Pan Support Inspection and Cleaning

Inspect the area beneath the Pan

Clean the outside of the balance using a damp cloth with warm water

Ensure no chemical cleaners or solvents are used

Check the Power Cord for broken or damaged insulation

Remove the balance load cell metal cover to reveal the Block Style load cell.

Locate and remove the 2 cables connecting from the Block Style load cell to the balance main PCBA.

Locate and remove the 4 screws securing the Block Style Cell to the bottom housing.

Ensure the following components are removed

Is the area clear of all removed components?

Disconnect the following cables

Remove the screws securing the Main PC Board to the Base

Install replacement Main PC Board in reverse order

Check if the LCD display on the new board is clear of protective plastic covering

Remove the balance weighing pan and securely set it aside

Gently release the two hinges securing the Windring to the balance top housing

Follow the instructions for removing Adventurer housing from page 3-4

Select a mass near the maximum capacity of the balance and place it on the center of the Pan

Remove the mass and verify the reading returns to 0g ±1 count

Repeat the mass weighing test three times
