Ohaus Adventurer ™ Balances AX223M

Warm up the balance prior to performing the tests.

Ensure the balance has passed the following tests

Calibrate the balance before performing the Linearity Test.

Enter the full capacity of the balance.

Enter the Reference Mass (approximately 1/8 of the full capacity).

Use the same Reference Mass throughout the Linearity Test.

Ensure the balance is powered off

Gather necessary tools (screwdriver, pliers)

Remove the balance load cell metal cover

Locate the Conventional MFR load cell

Disconnect cables from the Conventional MFR load cell

Remove the screws securing the Conventional MFR Cell

Remove the balance load cell metal cover

Locate and remove the 2 cables connecting from the Block Style load cell to the balance main PCBA

Locate and remove the 4 screws securing the Block Style Cell to the bottom housing

Check that all parts are removed

Install the new Block Style load cell

Reconnect the 2 cables to the balance main PCBA

Secure the new Block Style Cell with 4 screws to the bottom housing

Replace the balance load cell metal cover

Verify the load cell replacement

Use a single mass for all readings

Ensure test mass is approximately ½ of the instrument's capacity

Wear gloves when handling the mass

Enter the menu to adjust settings

Set the Filter level to medium or the center of its range

Set the AZT (Auto Zero Tracking) to .5d or its lowest setting

Pan and Pan Support Inspection and Cleaning

Remove the Pan and Pan Support to inspect the area beneath the Pan

Was the area beneath the Pan cleaned?

Clean the outside of the balance using a damp cloth with warm water

Were chemical cleaners or solvents avoided during cleaning?

Check the Power Cord for broken or damaged insulation

Make a visual inspection for faulty connectors, wiring, and loose hardware
