Ensure the heater is turned off and cooled down before cleaning.

Wear protective gloves to prevent burns.

Wipe heater surfaces with a clean, non-synthetic cloth.

Ensure no plastic build-up or contamination remains on the heater surfaces.

Return the heater to its insulated heater shroud.

Verify that the heater is not in contact with any flammable materials.

Turn knob to desired temperature

Measure the heater surface temperature with a pyrometer

Is there any variance between the knob setting and the pyrometer reading?

Correcting Temperature Variance

Turn knob to point to the same temperature as the pyrometer

TracStar 28 Belt Tension Adjustment

Locate the tensioner beside the rear pipe lift

Tighten the spherical nut to 6-10 ft lbs

Is there any belt slip or noise detected?

If slip or noise is detected, tighten the tensioner until it is eliminated but do not exceed 15 ft lbs

Park the machine on a flat solid surface

Use the lifting sling to raise machine off the ground

Place adequate supports under the bottom frame after lifting

Measure the deflection between the bottom center roller and the inside surface of the rubber track (in inches)

Is the track tension normal (approximately 1/2" deflection)?

Read the engine maintenance instructions

Ensure the engine is cool before starting the procedure

Locate the oil filter behind the rear cowling

Locate the dipstick on the opposite side of the engine

Locate the oil drain plug on the bottom of the oil pan

Locate the oil filler cap on top of the engine
