Ensure the grease valve is not loosened more than one turn

Do not loosen the grease nipple

Remove screws and cover to access the adjustment system

Turn hex shaped valve counterclockwise no more than 1 turn

Read the engine maintenance instructions

Ensure the engine is cool before starting the procedure

Locate the oil filter behind the rear cowling

Locate the dipstick on the opposite side of the engine

Locate the oil drain plug on the bottom of the oil pan

Locate the oil filler cap on top of the engine

Ensure the heater is cool before installation

Check that the heater plates are seated on the heater body

Ensure no foreign matter is trapped between the heater plates and the heater body

Install butt fusion heater plates using stainless steel cap screws

Confirm that the bolts are not over tightened

Read the engine maintenance instructions

Ensure the appropriate oil for the ambient temperature is available

Locate the oil drain plug on the bottom of the oil pan

Locate the oil filter behind the rear cowling

Replace the oil filter if due (every 200 hours)

TracStar 28 Belt Tension Adjustment

Ensure machine is turned off before starting maintenance

Use caution when making pressure adjustments while the machine is running

Avoid contact with moving parts during operation

Locate the tensioner beside the rear pipe lift

Loosen the jam nut and tighten the spherical nut to 6-10 ft lbs
