Wear rubber gloves and safety goggles (and/or face shield) when handling Ice Machine Cleaner or Sanitizer.

Disassemble the ice machine and bin for cleaning and sanitizing.

Discard all ice produced during the cleaning and sanitizing procedures.

Remove mineral deposits from areas or surfaces that are in direct contact with water.

Preventative Maintenance Cleaning Procedure

Ensure ice is not on the evaporator during the clean/sanitize cycle by following one of the methods below

Open the front door to access the evaporator.

Clean the area around the ice machine to maintain cleanliness and efficient operation.

Wipe surfaces with a damp cloth rinsed in water to remove dust and dirt.

If greasy residue persists, use a damp cloth with mild dish soap and water solution.

Wipe dry with a clean, soft cloth.

Ensure no abrasive materials are used for cleaning

Open the front door to access the evaporator compartment.

Disconnect electric power to the ice machine at the electric service switch

Ensure you have protective gloves to handle sharp condenser fins

Remove the air filter with care

Clean the air filter with mild soap and water

Inspect the air filter for any damage before reinstalling

Shine a flashlight through the condenser to check for dirt between the fins
